I've been a nurse for a year now, and there's times I forget this, as silly as it sounds the other day i walked into a residents room and they asked me "are you a nurse?" and it hits me, yes, I am. It still floors me sometimes to think this, I never thought as a kid I would be a nurse, I wasn't one to play doctor or nurse as a child, even in high school I didn't aspire to work in a hospital, nursing home or retirement home. Yet here i am, and wow, I Love It.
I've had happy moments, I've had sad moments, I've seen people born and I've seen people die. But i wouldn't change it for the world.
